This is our third video that we made this year. We worked in pairs and we had to dress up. We had to say “Níl” or “Tá”. We had to say it all in Irish. We used an iPod to make the video and then we put it on the Mac to make the movie. We watched in on wide screen on the white board in class. It is a bit funny.

We made a video in Irish yesterday. It is called Éadaí. We made the video using an iPod. We had to dress up in different clothes. Teacher got the clothes in the costume room. Some of the clothes were too big for us. We had to say “Féach orm. Tá ____ orm”. We had fun making the Irish video.

We made a video in Irish yesterday. We used the iPod to make the video. We videoed everybody in the class. We videoed “Ar Scoil” things that we were learning about last week. We imported the videos onto the Mac laptop. We used the iMovie programme to put the video together. It was weird listening to our voices on the video. We had fun doing it.

Today we made a podcast about people’s favourite food. We had to speak into a microphone in Gaeilge. Teacher gave us a tap on the shoulder to start. It was written in our Gaeilge copy. The name of the programme we used to record the podcast was Audacity. We listened to the podcast again to make sure it was right. It was great fun.

Bia

A couple of weeks ago we went on our iPods and did some mins maps on Simple Mind Xpress. We did it on food. It was hard because sometimes it would change the Irish word into an English word. Our heading was “Bia”. We typed in the food that we liked and that we didn’t like. Some of the phrases we used were “Is fuath liom”, “Ní maith liom”, “Is breá liom”, “Is maith liom” and “Is aoibheann liom”. We used our Irish book for the spellings. We saved the mind maps and used the Bump app to get the pictures onto our teachers iPod and he printed them out. We had fun making them.

Second and Third Class learned one Irish poem and one Irish song for Hallowe’en. We made them into podcasts for our school blog. We hope you enjoy them.
