April 2011

We created clay masks a while ago. When they were dry we painted them using metallic paints. We then each took a digital picture of our own mask using the class digital camera. We hope you like them.

Yesterday we started doing a Twitter Digital Art Project. It is called #tap2011 on Twitter. Tap stands for Twitter Art Project. We had to create digital art using our iPods. We used the Brushes and Abstract Art apps to create these pictures. We hope you like them. You can see all of the Digital Art created by schools around the country in this Flickr Photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/twitterart2011

Last night was our First Penance. It was a very special day for 2nd Class. There was a choir and our teachers were there. Mrs Mc Nulty was playing the keyboard. All our parents were there. They were very proud of us. We had to confess our sins to the priest. He gave us penance to do. We had to sing some hymns. We sang the Our Father and did actions with it. At the end we sang “Connected” on the altar. We were very pleased at the end. Afterwards Mrs. Clarke gave us crisps to say congratulations. Everyone was happy.

April Fools

Today is April Fool’s Day and our teacher played an April Fool’s Day joke on us. We fell for it completely. He told us that a photographer had come to the school to take a photograph of us. We went up to the hall and brought Russ, our class bear with us. We also took the box that we had received from @superkiddos in Indiana, USA. The teacher lined us up for the photograph in lines. He left the hall and then came back telling us that the photographer wanted all the girls in the front so we all had to change places. He left the hall again and when he came back he told us that the photographer wanted us all to be photographed in our white t-shirts, so we all had to take off our jumpers. He left the hall again and this time when he came back he said that the photographer wanted us to hold a sign in the photograph. Two people had to hold up the sign which said “April Fools”!! We were so angry that we had been caught!
